Content Management
Today I've been taking my first steps with Drupal - http://drupal.org
So far it has been very good and I can't believe I haven't tried it out before. I think that if you are serious about starting out your own content driven website it is absolutely something to look in to. Another option is of course Wordpress either if you wish to use it on your own host or their free option it can provide a good and quick solution for content management. There are of course several differences between the two, so I recommend to do some reading first.

I selected Drupal because it has a vibrant community at drupal.org , lots of themes and modules and is quite quick and easy to set up. The learning curve is steep but there are lots of tutorials out there how to get you up and running - like this brilliant video tutorial which was written and recorded by Addison Berry of Lullabot

Which provider and host to choose?
Since my host (1and1) did not have support for mysql on my old package I decided to take the plunge and go for the slightly more expensive Linux Business (ca £10pm) deal where you get two 100mb mysql databases (I know, it's not a lot but something to begin with right!).
This blog
My aim is to start blogging about things going on around the Internet. This can be tips and shared wisdom on how to make websites profitable, wierd stuff, gadgets, art / illustrations / design and other interesting things.
I'll also keep you updated on my own projects / art and of course updates about my company, TagSko Productions - which I started in 2006 but did not incorporate (formally started) before June 2008.
